- Sometimes we are facing serious problems while formatting computer or installing new operating system in desktop/ laptop.
- In initial stage every things works fine but when we start formatting or deleting the partition of hard drive it gives error like we cannot delete the partition or format the disk drive.
- The reason of showing above problem my occur due to our bootable disk or pen drive.
- If the bootable media is in UEFI mode then format disk and change it to GPT partition style bootable media, for this keep in mind while formatting pen drive format it FAT32. Also to install OS in FAT32 format your windows ISO image size must be less then 4GB otherwise it not work.
- Download bootable software Rufus from this link: https://rufus.ie/en/
- select GPT partition style to make drive bootable
- If your bootable drive is already in GPT then change it to MBR format and make bootable
- Other reason may occur due to Boot Options ( if boot options is in UEFI mode change to legacy software or if it is in Legacy then change to UEFI respectively- sometimes this may help to solve the problem of installing operating system)
- Hope this will solve your problem while installing new operating system like windows7/8/10/11
- other reason may be hard drive failure, loose wire connection to hard drive etc.
Fixed: Windows7/8/10 cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT Partition (Error Code 0x80070057)
